the older structure in now under a modern cement structure that was placed during the wharf's renovation in the 2000s. On either side of the structure are small stretches of white sand beaches. The site where it is in is the busiest fishing spot in Currimao.

Authenticity has been compromised with the renovation that took place in the early 2000s - the old coral stone dock has been plastered with cement rendering the original structure hardly visible anymore. This is, however, important as it is strongly linked with the other historic structures around such as the almacen and the two garitas.
